Ah, I see. I was puzzled because the information available said KDEPIM from 4.4 and that contains a ported addressbook. Btw, the blog has a small error in one of the sentences: "Akonadi needs some relational database and until now only MySQL". It should be something like "only MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite".
