I had many issues with KDE tools and CA certificates in the past. Many of the tools just did not work (check https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210356 or http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=82926)

IIRC I ended up adding my CA certificate to /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt ( Archlinux file, it might differ in your distro)

If it works, please confirm :-)
