I have installed akonadiconsole and started it running before accessing the 
troublesome emails. There are 2 jobs still running after accessing those 
emails and they keep running even after trying to access another email. They 
are CalendarSupport::IncidenceFetchJob and Akonadi::ItemFetchJob.
