I have noticed a difference in the number of emails in the inbox and the sent box, compared to what was copied into those paths. I was hoping the backend handler was going to leave the emails in tact. Seems it has a problem. :( There are 653 emails missing from the inbox and sent-mail box. Compared it with a backup, which was used to copy the mails into that path. I'm using $HOME/Mail , and that is where the emails are missing. I seem to remember posts from time to time where people had 'lost' emails in KMail. I can easily 'fix' it by copying the missing emails into that folder again. But that doesn't address the source of the problem. I don't have any filters setup, yet have noticed a task from time to time, something about filtering or such. Is KMail purging emails ??
