Funnily, the same happens for me, in a *running* Kontact instance,
for eMails sent by the Calendar functionality (invites and the likes).
They all end up in the local sent-mail folder instead of the one on
the IMAP (uw-imapd running on localhost).

This is also Debian unstable, 4.11.5.
