Most logging is disabled by default but can be enabled using the kdebugdialog 
tool.

The easiest way is to then run the application from a shell, the log output 
will end up there.

It should also be possible, I think, to configure log files for each of the 
available debug areas, but this likely needs manual editing if kdebugrc.
