Sorry, I do not really understand you.

Of course, there can't be a perfect bidirectional mapping of all properties, 
but the concept of groups exist in both ownclound and the KDE adressbook.

Your posting sound like one should not really try to use owncloud with KDE 
synchronization because any data can possible vanish. Is the entire owncloud 
synchronization broken?
