I don't even use that browser > ... Configuring it to use kmail didn't have any effect, as I'd expect :( Right. A hidden evil file somewhere in the xdg search path - maybe ~/.local or ~/.config? As earlier said, I experienced somthing similar some time ago, after having used thunderbird for a short while. Hope you find it!
