smart folders

Hi folks,

I tried to set up a "smart folder", but without success.
But the problems seems to be a search-related one:

When I do a quick search for "marked as important" messages, I do get the hits 
expected.

When I do a search with ctrl-f or create a folder and try to "attach" a search, there 
are no search results. I'm quite certain that I'm not making mistakes in the search:
