uids.size()==1 assert in retrieveitemtask.cpp

Hi,

I'm still using KDE PIM 4.13.3 on a slower Kubuntu 14.04 system because it's proven to be much more robust than later KDE4 versions.
I do however get occasional crashes, like this assert in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344970

Is there a fix or more elegant workaround for this issue in later versions that I could backport?

PS: I know, I know, I could probably switch to 16.04 but I guess I still need a couple of more months convincing that Plasma5 really has all the features my KDE4 desktop has ... or until the version progression slows down significantly.
