Hello again,

first of all I'd like to thank you Martin and Daniel for your advice.

@ Martin: I've found several reports about Akonadi and mySQL 5.7,
f.e. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361485,
having finally Daniel's answer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361485#c8.
As my mySQL version (mySQL Ver. 14.14 Distrib 5.7.12) is newer, I did
not follow up on this further.

@ Daniel: As reported already,

Now I edited the
~/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf
to have
lower_case_table_names=1.

With this, the Akonadi-server is running and kAlarm works fine.
Nevertheless two questions:

 1. There were a bunch of error messages after "akonadictl start". Would
you please refer to http://www.kmhessler.de/AkonadiSetup.txt to see,
    if there is something strange?
 2. Is the modification within
    ~/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf
OK and safe for future updates or has this setting to be done
    somewhere else?

Thanks again and best regards
Michael
