This doesn't empty the waste bin, does it (it doesn't seem to do with my fastmail.fm account but I have my doubts about how GMail reacts)
 
Thanks for the tip in any case.

But shouldn't it be possible to select such messages and undelete them? AFAIK that's what the state is for.
