Sink/Kube: 2 questions

Hello,

2 questions concerning Sink & Kube, hopefully not requiring me to subscribe to the PIM devel ML:

- how independent are they really from Akonadi/KMail? I see that Sink alone depends on certain of the same libraries as KMail (Contacts, KIMap, ...). Does that mean Kube cannot be used in parallel to KMail *4*?

- is this code that is intended to be cross-platform and thus full-featured also on Mac for instance?
