Kmail Composer 'reply' template: How to insert blank line?

Having problems constructng a Kmail Composer Reply template.
The version I have is:

On %ODATE %OTIMELONG you wrote:

- which produces e.g.:

Tried leaving blank line in template to represent 'blank line', but
has no effect.
How does one specify 'blank line here' in a Reply template?
