I have two machines with MySQL backend against an Courier IMAP server - both have these problems and one machine with MariaDB backend against an Exchange server without these problems. However, the accounts on Courier are quite large (~50.000 mails in private and shared folders), while the account on the Exchange server has a lot less mails and no shared folders (not really true, but they are not accessible from KMail). - Jörg
