sending texts

I use diamondcard.us and kmail 5.9.3 in my Debian buster system.  Kmail shows text 
messages sent to my diamondcard number and allows me to reply to received text 
messages from within kmail.

What about sending?  I can send text messages from within diamondcard.us.  Can I 
also send a new text message to a cellphone within kmail?  If so, any suggestions as 
to how would be appreciated. I find this texting business quite confusing.
