Download of external content

Hello,
I have a question:
I ave a couple of mail addresses where download of external contetn is allowed. This happens usually when I open the mail.
I there a setting that triggers the download of ext. content at the time the mail is fetched from server?
That would be an improvement when reading mail offline later
