I got this from the opensuse-suppport list:

- install libQt5Sql5-postgresql
- stop akonadi
- backup ~/.local/share/akonadi, then remove it. 
edit ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc and make the bottom part look like this


[QPSQL] 
Host=/tmp/akonadi-knurpht.P8f537 <<<<< change this
InitDbPath=/usr/bin/initdb 
Name=akonadi 
Options= 
ServerPath=/usr/bin/pg_ctl 
StartServer=true

then restart akonadi. It will take some time to build the database.
