filter list slightly broken?

Hi

A recent update seems to have broken the filter list, or is it just me ?

Credit card statements from bank have subject line like

***UNCHECKED*** Statement ************

So I used to find them by filtering on *****

but that is not working today.

using
unchec

does work.

Why would that be?

Note: I messed up my locale settings a bit, could that be the cause. Locale 
mostly working, but not as 100% as it should be.
