I see what you mean... however, I think it's difficult to make a smiley theme 
with Konqi. The problem is that Konqi already has very distinct features, so, 
to get them into a logo that size (19*19 px) is close to impossible. Add to 
this the different facial expressions that have to be worked in. This is a 
reduce-to-the-max task I do not wish upon my worst enemy ;-)

IMHO, smileys of this kind are done most effectively (and, also, efficiently) 
with simple balloon faces, where all the room you have can be used to convey 
the facial expression, without having to care about features.

I'm sorry if I'm disappointing you, but I don't think that Konqi smileys are 
a good idea due to sheer space reasons.
