There are about 80 subscribers on this list.

Oh cool - I don't have a woman as a collegue at the moment :-( There were some 
other women when I studied electrical engineering. In Germany there are about 
4-6% women in electrical engineering. Not very much :-( I heard, there are 
more in scandinavia and also in southern Europe (Spain, Italy), more like 
10-20%. I really have no idea why the number is so low in Germany, where we 
actually already have emancipation.

What is Competa-IT doing? I am still hoping I'll find a job at a linux company 
after I am finished here (doing my PhD). Linux in industry is expanding here 
in Germany, but the jobs in this area emerge very slowly at the moment.
