Err, me was not clear ;-)

If you place

   myimage.svg

in the images directory, and add link to

  <img src="myimage.png">

then Forrest will *automatically* convert the SVG to PNG and serve that.

What Idon't know if Forrest does, but can be also made to do (hence the 
RFE), is to use the SVG *directly* in the PDF without first transforming 
to PNG, as FOP is able to include vectorial SVG in the result.
