However, I did not have 'null' values but values of 0.0. It seems that if there is no bar to chart for a data point then the ValueLabelRenderer writes 0.0 over top of a neighboring bar. I am newly registered to sourceforge.net so If I can find where to attached files I will attach a sample. I was able to work around this by checking for the value of 0.0 and then setting it to something smaller than I was rounding to (.01 or something).
