there are two things you could do:
1) alter the source to make the BasicStroke transient
2) change your code to create the chart on the client side.  I would recommend this as it adheres
to MVC.  You should only gather the data on the server and let the client do the rendering.

I will update the source so that the BasicStroke constants are transient.
