Since showing only one bar chart is normal behavior I will use the clustered bar chart for comparison and investigate the area charts as you suggest.  I have a requirement that all of the data must be visible: clustered bars works and so will overlayed series with translucent paint.

	this is not possible.  Only one dataset will get plotted on a bar chart. Perhaps an Area Chart
