<title>Building Krysalis Menu</title>
<p>
This build has two prerequisites:
</p>
<ol>
<li>Tapestry 3.0.2</li>
<li>Forrest 0.6</li>
</ol>
<p>
You will need to install these and then copy .build.properties.sample
to .build.properties and modify the contents to point to these installations.
</p>
<p>
Installing forrest is not an obvious process. The trick is to:
</p>
<ul>
<li>extract the archive</li>
<li>run build.bat</li>
<li>define FORREST_HOME environment variable to point to {forrest.install.dir}/src/core</li>
<li>add {forrest.install.dir}/src/core/bin to the path</li>
</ul>
<p>
Next just run ant in the root of the distribution and the system will be compiled. The
build system outputs three things of note.
</p>
<ul>
<li>krysalis-menu.jar in the component directory. This is the menu library file you should add to your
application.</li>
<li>example.war in the example directory. This is a small example web application demonstrating the
functionality of krysalis-menu</li>
<li>The documentation in forrestdocs/build/site</li>
</ul>
