cent tasks.properties cf resource

It appears (to my untrained eye) that the cent tasks.properties is very
similar to a resource file. Is it for cents which depended upon ant tasks
that perhaps do not have a resource file?

Ought I have both, or one of these?

	 <taskdef resource="version" classpathref="version.classpath"/>

	 <taskdef file="${version.cent.dir}/tasks.properties"
classpathref="version.classpath"/>
