activation -> needed for activation service
xerces, xmlapis -> needed for xml config parsing and xml loading
avalon-framework -> of course needed

log4j -> this could be removed for now IIUC,since we are
          dumping the logging concern

The last time I tried to use it the sheed didn't work. Keep it in for 
now for building, we'll check it later.
