	my lib directory. They use a whopping 11 MB of disk space.

For me, it is a waste of limited modem bandwidth, it kills me. I also
dislike the disk waste (however cheap the financial cost) because I'd like
the N gazillion open source projects not to be limited by N * 1cent, which
somebody has to pay. Also, if a project gets popular it is multiplied by the
number of users.

Worse though, for me, is how putting jars in CVS is insidiously stagnating.
As soon as we start copying others jars into our distros we limit ourselves
to a certain version, and our usage gets stale. They fix a bug, we still
have it. The improve performance (or something else nice w/o changing the
interface) but we fail to gain. It becomes work to update a jar in a distro,
and we forget to, or fail to. As such we stagnate and not all grow together.
We ought not rely solely upon Gump to keep interactions current.
