Hi Abhi,

sorry for the late response. As you may have read I've been away on
holidays.

I hope you didn't give up, yet, or at least give it another try. Let's
see if I can help you. I tried to package Krysalis Barcode like many
other Java-based OpenSource packages which means it uses Apache Ant for
the build process. But if you're not familiar with this process you
could also try the v0.9 binary.

Could it be that you really downloaded the "-bin" file? Because that
file indeed has no build.xml file as the error message implies. If yes,
you're all set to go with the next step. If no, you might want to download
krysalis-barcode-0.9-bin.zip by clicking on this link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/krysalis/krysalis-barcode-0.9-bin.zip?download

This way you don't have to install Ant and don't have to build Krysalis
Barcode. You'll find krysalis-barcode.jar in root directory of the
distribution file.

What you do now depends on what you need. I hope the documentation works
for you from this point on. If not, please tell me about it so I can
improve the documentation. I have seen now, that I have to mention the
existence of both a source and a binary distribution.

If you really want to compile Krysalis Barcode (for examples, because
you want to use the latest code from CVS) then I suggest you go to the
Apache Ant homepage.
- Welcome page: http://ant.apache.org/
- Ant Manual: http://ant.apache.org/manual

The most important things about installing Ant is to set the ANT_HOME
environment variable and adding the Ant directory to your PATH variable.
You'll read about that in the "Installing Ant" section of Ant's manual.

Once you've successfully installed Ant, you should be able to open a
console or DOS window in the directory where you extracted the Krysalis
Barcode's zip file and call "ant".

I hope this helps you.
