But it is. Only not yet for version 0.9.

When using 0.9 you can use the Xalan extension together with FOP
(provided you're using Xalan as your XSLT processor). If you follow the
instructions under [1] it should be relatively easy to get it running. A
full example of a stylesheet that creates SVG-barcodes for FOP is under
examples/xsl-fo/barcodes2xsl-fo.xsl in the 0.9 distribution.

[1] http://www.krysalis.org/barcode/xsl-fo.html

In [1] I say that krysalis-barcode.jar must be added to the classpath.
If you're using the FOP command line to convert XML (via XSL-FO) to PDF
then look at fop.bat in FOP's root directory. You'll find lines like:
set LOCALCLASSPATH=%LOCALCLASSPATH%;%LIBDIR%\batik.jar

Beneath that line you can simply add something like this:
set LOCALCLASSPATH=%LOCALCLASSPATH%;C:\MyBarcodes\krysalis-barcode.jar

This adds Krysalis Barcode to the classpath and you're set for the next
items on the list under [1]. Clearer now?

Please try to get the Xalan extension running in your application. It
really shouldn't be that hard. If you don't understand something on the
page indicated above, please ask again.

If you don't have Xalan I will try to guide you through building the CVS
source code and set up the FOP extension.

I believe I know now what you need.
