How to calculate a duration?

Hi,

maybe someone knows how to solve this:

DEFINE beginning_time TIME
DEFINE ending_time   TIME
DEFINE duration    TIME

LET beginning_time ="08:00:00"
LET ending_time = "17:30:00"

LET duration = ending_time - beginning_time

Is something like this possible in A4GL?
