Wanted to thank Mike as he was very patient and helped me solve my issue. At the end it was more my inexperience than anything else. Now have a 4gl that can pull data from MSSQL and connect to INFORMIX at the same time so Im happy Something did come up that might need to be looked upon. The tar I was pulling from sourceforge seems to be different from the one from aubit.com. Everything started working using the one from aubit.com but it might have been just me doing something wrong before I'll try to clean up my notes and post if anyone is interested.
