PDF Report mixed Data utf-8 and latin9

Hi all, the text to make a PDF-report is mixed. The data comes from different sources: 1) some columns are from database postgres (utf-8) 2) the heading column of text is from input (VDC) (latin9) 3) the rest of text is from Internet (utf-8) No PDF report will be created, if i use special german character like (äöüßÜÖÄ) in heading. Can i change a column like heading char(140) after finish a input session from latin9 to utf-8 before create the PDF-report?
