UTF-8

Hi,

I have some strange problems while selecting data from database and 
displaying them using aubit4gl. I think it is related to UTF-8. My 
system is all UTF-8, also Postgres database (or mysql or sqlite3) are 
UTF-8. Direct select statements (with psql, sqlite etc) no problem but 
display gives within a aubit executable gives problems.

I have seen in the aubit4gl-discuss messages that for the last 10 years 
Mike warns for problems with UTF-8. Is the warning still valid?

I think UTF-8 is the more or less the default for every modern Linux 
system can someone give some recommendations  how to solve the UTF-8 
problems?
