RE: ActiveX cab file

It may be the problem, but not 100% sure. For now we do not provide any
options. A "how to make your own cab" will maybe be added to the doc in
future versions, but until now the only way is to look at verisign site and
follow their guide. You can get there demo certificates that are operational
but display some warning, so you can test before.

So in other words that’s the only thing I'm missing? Digitally signing it
via VeriSign after re-packaging the gdc.cab file? Or do you think there
would be another method of doing this, maybe Fourj's offers some options for
doing this? Who knows?

The cab file is digitally signed to ensure the user the cab comes from four
J's and not from anyone else ; moreover, digital signature is mandatory for
many operations such as file reading/writing or registry manipulations.

Hi guys,
 
I’m trying to integrate some files to be installed along with the genero
client when the gdc.cab file gets extracted via ActiveX. I tried including
the files into the gdc.cab by extracting the .cab file including the files
into the cab file modifying the gdc.inf file and re-packaging it. I tried
this with no reserve space and a reserve space of 6144B, but no luck.
When
the gdc.cab file gets downloaded onto the workstation and extracted through
ActiveX it doesn’t seem to find the file components to install anymore. 
 
Any ideas if this is the right approach, or if Four J’s has another route of
performing such operation?
