SQL error

Hello anyone,
During program execution the following SQL statement:
SELECT accyer, accper, calsta INTO ls_tranyer, ls_tranper,
ls_calsta
FROM sy_calendar
WHERE cpycod = pi_cpycod
AND modcod = pi_modcod
AND pi_trandat BETWEEN perstr AND perend
causes a program crash with the error below:
SQL driver fatal error in SqlHandle.c (line 33)
Empty sql statement provided
