Hello all,

I am having a problem with users experiencing a random wtk.exe error and the
wtk client closes on the users desktop. This happens several times a day on
many different users. The error never occurs at the same place within the
custom written application as it will occur on any screen at any time. The
error cannot be re-produced by the user.

The event viewer references: wtk.exe - Application Error: The instruction
at "0x004b179b" referenced memory at "0x03570a48". The memory could not be
"written".

Here are the vitals:

Client Machines:

Windows 2000

Service Pack 4

800 or more mhz CPU

256 or more Ram

Microsoft products installed such as outlook and office products.

WTK Version 3.54.1a and a few have WTK Version 3.54.2d (Both get errors)

Server:

IBM RS6000

AIX 5.2

Four J's DVM 3.54.1a

50 Users

Informix Database 9.40

App:

Custom written Sales and Marketing application written in Informix 4gl and
compiled with Four J's Business Development Suite.

The users have run the wtkcodeguard.exe from Four J's and the error did not
occur during that time. The users feel that the wtkcodeguard.exe was so
extremely slow that the error would never occur running this exe. These
users are extremely fast typist. We have also used logging and captured the
error, but when replaying the log file, the wtk.exe did not crash. A
network sniffer has also determined no packet collisions, etc...

Has anyone experienced this or have a suggestion? Your help will be greatly
appreciated.
