check box question

   I have a question concerning a check box field on 
a form. 
   When the user jumps from field to field using the 
Enter key and then tries to skip over the check box,
the state of the check box changes (if it was
unchecked it becomes checked). The user will have to
then uncheck it by using the mouse. 
   Is there a way for the check box not to react to
the Enter key in this way but just to change its state
when it is clicked upon?
