Lock-ups with BDL 3.20.02.68

We are using BDL 3.20.02.68.  We have recently been experiencing
lockups on the PC.

We are running on a Solaris 7 box with the client on XP machines.
People will sign into our app and be working fine, but if they leave
it idle for an hour or so and come back to it, it is frozen.

The users are saying it's happened to people who have converted to
laptops.  I can't think what a laptop would have to do with it.
Unless it's not that it's a laptop, it's that it's new and perhaps
has different software updates and so on.

This has also been happening on my laptop.  But until now the users
weren't complaining and I lived with it.  When it happens, the 4Js
apps are still running on the Sun box.

Our application is a series of apps.  One might RUN another which
RUNs another, and so on.  If I kill the one I'm on, it goes away on
the screen, revealing the program that called it.  But that is also
frozen.

Anybody else experience this?  Do you know how to fix it?  Do you
know a workaround?
