FW: Lock_Timeout

 

Hi All,

 

Does anybody know why our 4GL Programs are receiving the error
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Lock request time out

Period exceeded when running against a SQL Server Database?.

 

IF the lock_timeout is set to -1 which means to wait indefinitely, why our
4GL Programs are failing?. 

 

I noticed in the SQL Server Database Interface this statement :

                                    dbi.database.stores.ifxemul.setlockmode
= false

 

Does this have something to do with the locking issue ?

 

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
