BDS Folder Tabs

The documentation for folder tabs is minimal and the example given in the
doc is minimal.  Are Folder Tabs under BDS 1) only meant to increase screen
real estate during a single INPUT statement or 2) is there a way to
implement them for a header/detail situation, that is switching tabs between
an INPUT and an INPUT ARRAY statement.
