Danny,

I asked 4J's Support a similar question a long time ago and here is the
answer I got back regarding recompiling and when it is required:

"- Here is how our version number goes, something like v.wx.yz. The rule
is 
to recompile the source (4gl + per) only when 'v' or 'w' change. In your

code, it is not the case and I've seen people do that before. But I
always 
recommend my customers to do their own testing before going live and
come 
back to us if any side effects."

Danny,

If you are not changing BDS version, you don't need to recompile 4gl
programs. What you need to recompile is the new runner (fglrun) against
the new IDS version in the new machine.
