I am curious if any progress made in solving this issue. We are still facing this problem. I've also looked at the file 'locals.tcl' on thewindows end. It seems that the six placed hexidecimal value is the color. Now I need to work out the colors.Regarding background colors for bitmaps - all my bitmaps seem to have alight-grey border; which is a lighter grey than my background color. Ipresume that I can alter this in my fglprofile4 configuration.I have another problem that I can't seem to find any documentation for, thatis displaying a bitmap as a background image behind my forms. Any ideas?TIAJulieEnsemble B.V.Netherlands-----Oorspronkelijk bericht-----Van: [email protected][mailto:[email protected]]Namens Joel SchumacherVerzonden: woensdag 24 september 2003 21:33Aan: [email protected]: Re: [fourjs-users] Widget ColorsYes, yes, we've encountered the same problem and that is a BIG annoyanceto our users. When you're not in input mode, widgets appear dark greyon lighter grey. There's not enough contrast and it's hard to read.Black would be a better color for the text. Make it look like a non-widget field when it's not active: black on grey. The color/widget control parameters seem to be on the PC side. Theconfiguration program lets you change a file called locals.tcl in yourwindows directory. These settings can control various parameters inthe form of *<parameter>: <value>Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything for the text color of thewidgets. There seems to be a file in your fourjs\cliwtk\fgl2c directorycalled fgl2c.tcl that seems like it might control a lot of theseparameters. But I've tried modifications and haven't noticed anyeffect. As for bitmaps on forms, I'm not that familiar with using them, exceptfor button bitmaps. BMP doesn't have a concept of a "transparent color"as is used in other image formats like GIF89. So, I'm confused as towhat a background color would do. Is the image inside of an area andthe background is used as a border to the image if it's smaller thanthe box? Or does 4Js designate a color as a transparency color inBMP files? And wherever you use that color, it replaces it with yourbackground color?J. Smith ([email protected]) wrote :> Does anymone know how to change the color of widgets?
