Hi All,

Thanks to all that answered this. I've been out of the office last week.

Just checked my "locals.tcl" and I do have an entry :

    *font: Lucida Console-Normal-10

But if I run a program, and check the font settings (using Aladins lamp ...)
I have SystemPc Style=Normal and Size=9, which reflects in the following
Registry entry :

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Four J's Development Tools\Windows Front
End\Configuration\Fonts\UserFonts]
    "FglEntryF"="SystemPC-Normal-OEM-CHARSET_OEM-p9"

So, my question here, is, how could I send a "default" font setting through
the "locals.tcl" file, to my new instalations ?

We normally customize the locals.tcl with our defult colors, and we send
that to new installations. So I'd like to put there our default font
setting, so we don't have to manipulate the client PC registry. So if I want
a default font different than that "Lucida Console" (which I don't know
where it came from), how can I change it in the locals.tcl ? I couldn't find
a way with the "Configuration Manager" tool. And if I edit by hand the
"locals.tcl" I might corrupt it. Is there a way to do this ?

Thanks,

Florencia

  Hi Folks.

  Just my 2 cents:

The fonts are taken (and stored) in locals.tcl or whatever you replace it
with in fglprofile.

Only in case the user of the PC overwrites this setting in the PC (using
Aladins.lamp and so on) it is stored in the local registry.

    Hi,

Don't seem to have this (we are still using Windows NT) - we have
'Windows front end', but in that folder, all we have is 'Application' not
'Configuration'?

    Regards,
    Mike.

    Mike;

I just found them in this path:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER
        Software
            FourJ's Development Tools
Windows Front End (OR GDC if Genero)
                    Configuration
                        Fonts
                            UserFonts

    Hi,

Can you let us know which registry key is affected please - I have done
a search but can't find anything obvious.

    Thanks,
    Mike.

    Hi,

When I change the Main font in the Windows Front End, where are those
settings saved ?

Can the settings be copied (easily) from one PC to another, without
having to set them in every PC ?

    Thanks,

    Florencia
