Genero Business Development Language Version 1.31.1p
SCO Unix

GDC.

Options/Image: //Andros/GENEPICS

but this is irrelevant! I use image files located outside of this folder

Examples:

http://www.google.gr/images/hp0.gif

\\andros\pics\pic001.jpg <file:///\\andros\pics\pic001.jpg>

The Genero application server is in a Unix machine. It was a surprise for me
that image references such as

" <file:///\\andros\pics\pic001.jpg> \\andros\pics\pic001.jpg" work
perfectly! This means that the GDC (in client!) does the URL resolution and
Not the application server. That's good. My problem is that I don't have any
means to find that a reference such as <file:///\\andros\pics\picxxx.jpg>
\\andros\pics\picxxx.jpg is not valid :-(

Best regards

Hello

Could you send an email to <mailto:[email protected]>
[email protected] with your environment?
Please Genero version (run fpi command), Clients (GDC, GDC-Active X, GWC),
and OS versions.

In case of:

GDC: please also send what path is set in Options/Images ?

GDC-Active X (GAS), GWC: configuration file (.xcf) by default
$FGLASDIR/etc/as.xcf

And an example of image URI that it supposes to find and display.

Please any doubts or comments write us to [email protected].

Best Regards

Genero / Images question

------------------------------

I have a form with an IMAGE item in it (A form field image not a static one)

The program asks the user to provide a valid image URI and displays it:

PROMPT "Enter an image URI" FOR imagefile

DISPLAY imagefile TO img

When the user types in a valid image file, then the image is displayed
normally. When the user types something that does not exists, the program
clears the image field BUT (!) i cannot "catch" the fact that "imagefile"
was an illegal (or notfound, or .. everything but not a normal ) image file!

Is there any means to catch this?
