I don't believe any documented feature will allow either of
your requests. However, BDL has tons of back doors for interacting with
the gui. Have you searched the list's archives? One workaround for
your tabs request could be that you would build a form on the fly and
compile it just in time, or you could have several per files and change
to the correct one when the user changes tabs. Either of these
solutions may not be worth the effort.
