Hi :-)

I should not have the autotools present, because if i modify only =

src/Makefile.am it does nothing

Curiously,
if i modify only src/Makefile.in, it ends with :
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-data-am'.
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-data-am'.

and if i modify the two files, it ends with :
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-data-am'.
  cd . && /bin/sh ./config.status Makefile
config.status: creating Makefile
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-data-am'.

do you need the compleete log ?

I'm not sure that it works correctly :
thomas% ./value 192.168.1.4
0.0.158.248
thomas% ./value 192
0.0.158.248
thomas% ./value 1
191.255.248.208
thomas% ./value 19
0.0.158.248
thomas% ./value 192.168.1.3
0.0.158.248
thomas% ./value 92.168.1.3
0.0.158.248
thomas%
Is it right ?
