Well, it seems that usleep does not differ much from waittime - looks like they use the same source.
Actually waittime results also differed in my experiments from one program run to another...

Cannot agree with that. I personally expected :-(
Not with microseconds but at least with milliseconds. But it seems that I've been mistaken!
