If you are already C literate and just want to apply it to IBM i then the only source would be the manuals. The ILE C/C++ Programmer’s Guide describes record and device I/O and gives examples. You'll find all the related manuals here: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_73/pdftable/pdftable.htm <https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_73/pdftable/pdftable.htm> Apart from the programmers guide and reference manual the ILE C/C++ Runtime Library Functions manual contains all the information on record level I/O. If you'd needed this two weeks ago I had a spare copy I just threw out! All other materials that were published in the past seem to have disappeared wth the demise of the iProDeveloper web site since Penton published more of that stuff than the other mags.
